At Heavy Heads Records, our mission is to provide our customers with new, and pre-owned records, CD’s, Cassette Tapes, 8 tracks, turntables, and MORE, at affordable prices.  When you shop with us, you can be confident that our prices match, or beat our local competitors prices.  Most of the time, we even beat online prices!  We take pride in keeping our store, and our booths stocked with records that are in high demand, and in good condition.    

 

When we buy records, CD’s, Cassette Tapes, 8 tracks, turntables, etc., our number one goal is to make sure the seller feels great about the transaction.  Whether you're selling us a couple of pieces, or a huge record collection, you can trust that we will give you a fair offer for your vinyl and other items.     

 

Heavy Heads Records opened April 1st of 2019, in downtown Springfield, MO at 215 W. Olive.  We carry new and pre-owned records, CD’s, Cassette Tapes, 8 tracks, turntables, and MORE.  We also participate in Record Store Day, RSD Black Friday, and have the largest inventory of records in Springfield, MO.

 

Our owner, Chris Grant, has been involved in the Springfield, MO music scene since 2003, when he was the front man for a local band.  During his experience with the band, he found his passion for recording music, and became an intern under Lou Whitney, at The Studio, in downtown Springfield.  Since then, Grant has run the sound for many bands in the area, and also the Springfield Cardinals, but is most recognized for his work as a turntable disc jockey, and as on air talent for 92.9 the Beat.  Grant has been the DJ for countless shows in the Springfield area, and continues to work as a mobile DJ.
